Sunny, Brisk Start to the Week in Newark

Newark

By: Richard L. Smith

My family and friends in Newark and the North Jersey region are waking up to a second consecutive day of temperatures above freezing.LegalAt the start of this Monday morning, conditions are brisk but not as cold as in recent days, offering a welcome reprieve as the workweek begins.

If you're preparing to head to the bus stop, start your commute, or get the kids ready for school, it's advisable to dress for the chill.

However, the sunshine later this morning will bring a bit of warmth, making for a pleasant winter day.

According to the National Weather Service, today's forecast calls for sunny skies with a high near 41 degrees. Wind chill values will range between 20 and 30, making it feel cooler at times.

Tonight, conditions will shift to mostly cloudy skies with a low of around 28 degrees.

While today promises to be another bright winter day, don't get too accustomed to the mild weather. Blustery conditions and freezing temperatures are expected to return tomorrow.

Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts, New Jersey!Legal
