We used Sundays as a big prep for the next week by doing our weekly legacy meetings.
We did that for a few years that way.
Until we realized that we wanted to have a different experience on Sundays. We now strive to have our weekly legacy meetings on Fridays (which is another challenge because it's the end of the week, and we're always ready to shut it down for the weekend).
However, Sundays are still prep for the week, but it's a lighter prep when we meet on Friday. Sundays are more for preparing other areas for the week, like meal-prepping, napping, long walks, and simply resting.
This works for us for now.
The point is to avoid becoming dogmatic about keeping what worked in one season in the new season without assessing if it's the BEST fit for you.
Too often, we can go into robot mode and stop thinking about our actions and why. We can find ourselves doing things just because that's how we've always done it (and quite frankly may be too tired to think about a better way).
Sundays are a great time to reflect on what's working and what isn't working in marriage and business. Talk through it and come up with alternatives.
Try new things to see if it fits better. You might be surprised how lighter your days become just by making a few tweaks.
