After two days of persistent rain, North Jersey residents are waking up to a drier and slightly warmer Tuesday morning.
As of 4:30 a.m., temperatures in the Ironbound section of Newark on Ferry Street were at 49°F, offering a milder start to the day.
According to the National Weather Service, skies will remain mostly sunny, and temperatures are expected to climb to a high near 57°F — making it a great day to enjoy lunch outdoors.

Winds will pick up slightly in the afternoon, shifting from 7 to 12 mph in the morning to 13 to 18 mph later in the day.
Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy with a low of around 37°F.
