Newark residents experienced a significant drop in temperatures this Friday morning, a big contrast to Thursday's unusually high temperatures earlier. After a scorching 90-degree day, the thermometer read only 58 degrees at 4:30 a.m. today, according to the National Weather Service.
Meteorologist says the forecast for today predicts partly sunny skies with a high of around 65 degrees.Winds will shift from northeast at 8 to 10 mph to southeast in the afternoon, maintaining cooler, more spring-like conditions.
Tonight, residents can expect mostly cloudy skies with a low of around 50 degrees.
Despite the chilly start, no precipitation is expected, allowing Newark citizens to enjoy a pleasant, albeit cooler, spring day.
