Student athletes from the city put on a show at the "Rack" on the campus of Rutgers University after taking 3 NJ State basketball championships this afternoon. The Lady Bulldogs of Shabazz easily defeated Haddon Township High School by a score of 77-48 in from of a full capacity crowd.
The number one boys basketball team in the state, Newark East Side humbled Ewing Township with an 83-56 victory for the 5PM Game.
Newark Tech won a close encounter by holding off a tough opponent in Camden High School with a final score of 48-44.
All if the winners will compete in the NJ Tournament of Champions beginning next week.
