There is an investigation underway into a reported strong armed robbery that happened in the city overnight.
Police responded to early morning reports of a robbery in progress that happened in the 50's block of West 18th Street at around 3 a.m.
Arriving units located the victim who told them that they were approached by a male suspect and ordered to hand over cash and other personal possessions.
The victim reportedly handed over several hundred dollars before the suspect fled the scene.
The suspect is described as a 6ft tall black male who was last seen wearing a black jacket and a red hat.
There were no immediate reports of physical injuries reported.
