Jersey City Police are investigating a shots fired inside that had bullets tear through a window of a restaurant causing injury to one person overnight.
According to preliminary reports, reports of shots fired sent police to the vicinity of 451 Communipaw Avenue at approximately 3 a.m.
Units arrived at the scene and found that bullets struck a window of a restaurant causing it to break according to reports.
One person inside the restaurant suffered non-life threatening injuries after police found that she was struck by the shattered glass, but the victim was not shot according to reports.
Police searching the area found shell casings as they conducted their investigation at the shooting scene.
