Police in Newark are investigating a shots-fired incident that resulted in property damage in the city's North Ward on Saturday night.
According to the investigation, at approximately 9:35 p.m., police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the vicinity of 95 Sylvan Avenue.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found shell casings, but a thorough search of the neighborhood indicated no victims.
Police say a bullet smashed through the window of a home, but no one inside suffered injuries.
The suspect fled the scene and is at large.
