A shots-fired incident that left a man injured inside a home in Paterson Monday morning is under investigation.
According to police, gunfire rang out in the area of 742 East 23rd Street around 12:15 a.m. prompting a police investigation.
When officers arrived, they check the scene and found shell casings and a home struck by bullets.
Officers searched inside the building and found a male victim suffering a non-life threatening bullet wound in his arm.
The victim told police he was in bed when he felt pain in his arm then saw blood.
The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office has been notified of the shooting and has launched an investigation.
