EMS transported a teenage boy to the hospital after he was struck by a stolen vehicle that lost control during a police pursuit then crashed into him on Friday afternoon in North Plainfiled.
The incident happened at around 2:50 p.m. at Willow and West End avenues when police began a pursuit of a vehicle that refused to stop for police lights and sirens.
According to police, the driver sped off, crashing into a parked car with three occupants inside before jumping a curb.
Police said the vehicle then crashed into a teenage boy who was sitting on a wall when the car came to rest against utility pole.
The driver of the vehicle ran from the scene and remains at-large but police took three occupants, including a female, into custody at the scene.
