A New Jersey state trooper was flown to an area hospital after suffering serious injuries while responding to a call.
According to police, a state trooper responding to reports of a car fire on I-295 South at mile-marker 23.4 around was struck by a vehicle shortly after 8 p.m.
Although no other details have been released, officials did confirm that the trooper was flown to the Cooper University Trauma Center but could did not have information on the troopers condition.
The crash remains under investigation.
