A routine traffic stop in Pohatcong Township led to the arrest of a man wanted in Maryland for human trafficking, State Police announced this afternoon.
According to police, Will W. Chen was driving a blue, Honda Civic westbound on Interstate 78 at milepost 2.1, when he was stopped for a traffic violation sometime around 11 p.m.
During the course of the investigation, Trooper Cagulada discovered that Chen was wanted for human trafficking out of Howard County, Maryland.
Chen was arrested without incident and lodged at the Hunterdon County Jail on a no-bail warrant.
He is currently awaiting extradition to Maryland.
