The New Jersey State Police have arrested Kevin Milligan, 26, of Medford, N.J., for allegedly impersonating a New Jersey State Trooper.
Police say on Monday, January 21, a female victim reported a suspicious voicemail message that she received claiming to be from NJSP Red Lion Station.
According to police a man allegedly left the victim a message identifying himself as a State Police Detective Sergeant and demanded information from her.
The man stated that if she did not call him back, a warrant would be issued for her son's arrest.Through various investigative means, detectives identified Milligan as the man that left the message police said.
On January 22, investigators located Milligan and arrested him without incident.
Kevin Milligan was charged with impersonating a law enforcement officer and released pending a court appearance.
Charges are mere accusations and the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.
