The State Fair Meadowlands has announced that they are canceling the 2020 fair, initially planned for July 23 - August 9.
They announced today on their Facebook page that the State has denied their plan to hold the Fair this year.
This announcement comes just days after they announced that they were moving the dates to later on in the summer.
The cancelation is likely due to restrictions on public gatherings due to the pandemic. On July 2, Governor Phil Murphy announced that all outdoor events were given a capacity limit of 500 people with the requirement of attendees being able to properly social distance.
