There were non-life threatening injuries reported for a man who was stabbed on a Newark street on Tuesday night.
According to preliminary reports, reports of an injured person sent police to the 400 block of Irvine Turner Boulevard at approximately 9:40 p.m. where officers arriving at the scene found a man bleeding heavily from the arm at that location.
EMS transported the adult male to University Hospital where doctors were able to treat the injury and stop the bleeding. The man is expected to make a full recovery.
Police detained a possible suspect at the scene.
The motive for the stabbing remains under investigation.
