An early morning incident that left a person stabbed in Plainfield has police investigating.
According to police, approximately 2:40 a.m. patrol units responded to the area of Roosevelt Avenue and Orange Place for an altercation.
Police said it was determined that a 33-year-old male and a 33-year-old female were involved in an altercation with two men wearing black masks and black clothing.
During the course of the altercation, the male was stabbed on his foot.
Police said the suspects fled the area.
The male with the wound was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
