Police in Newark's North Ward are investigating a stabbing incident that sent one person to the hospital Monday night.
According to police, at approximately 10:20 p.m., police responded to reports of a person bleeding in the 80's block of Grafton Avenue.
Police arrived and found the unidentified victim suffering a stab wound at that location.
Police say EMS transported the person to University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
According to witnesses, a green Honda Civic was observed speeding away from the scene immediately after the stabbing.
The motive for the incident has not been determined.
