Authorities are on the search for a suspect wanted for a violent stabbing that happened in the city's downtown a short time ago.
Police were called to the 800 block of Broad Street at around 7 p.m. for reports of a man suffering a stab injury.
Cops arrived to the scene to find a man bleeding heavily after being stabbed to the side at that location. EMS transported the victim to University Hospital where his injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
A black male suspect who was last wearing a dark colored Adidas sweatsuit was observed fleeing the area.
The incident is not believed to be random.
UPDATE 8:13 p.m. The victim's condition has escalated to life threatening.
