Jersey City authorities are investgiating a stabbing that left one person injured during the overnight hours at a location in the city.
According to preliminary reports, the incident happened at approximately 10:45 p.m. where police responded to the teens block of New Heckman Drive for reports of an injured person.
Units arrived at the scene found the unidentified victim suffering a stab wound to the abdomen at that location.
EMS transported the patient to Jersey City Medical Center where doctors treated non-life threatening injuries.
The motive for the stabbing remains under investigation and there were no arrests reported.
