Authorities in East Orange are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred at a location in the city Tuesday night.
According to preliminary reports, police found the unidentified victim suffering a stab wound in the vicinity of 22nd Street and Rutledge Avenue shortly before 10:50 p.m.
Police say the EMS treated the victim before transporting them to University Hospital for further treatment.
The motive for the stabbing is under investigation.
No arrests immediately reported.
