Police in South Brunswick are conducting an active search for a gunman who shot a person in the city then fled the scene.
The early morning shooting happened in the vicinity of 3612 NJ-27 (BP Gas Station) before 4:45 a.m. sending police to the scene where they found the victim suffering a gunshot wound to the arm.
Police requested EMS on the rush where medics arrived and transported the victim to Robert Wood Johnson Universal Hospital in serious but stable condition according to preliminary reports.
An unidentified male suspect was observed leaving the scene in a white, or light-colored sedan reports said.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation. There were no arrests reported.
