Authorities confirmed that the two bodies taken from a home on the corner of First Avenue and Second Street Friday night were those of a woman and her teenage daughter.
Police responded to the home sometime around 4 p.m. Friday., where the bodies of Sandra Giuseppe, 51, and her teenage daughter, Kimberly Streath, 15, were found after the Sandra's boyfriend killed them with a mallet-type hammer.
According to witnesses the bodies were removed from the home by authorities at approximately 9 p.m.
The cause and manner of death of Giuseppe was a mallet-type hammer and a rope, and the cause and manner of death to her daughter was also a hammer
Giuseppe's boyfriend, Ramon Cadiz, 51, was taken into custody Saturday around 4 a.m. in North Brunswick, where police found him sleeping in his vehicle.
Cadiz was charged with two counts of first-degree murder. He is being held in Somerset County Jail on $2 million bail. Although residents identified victim's as a mother and daughter, authorities have yet to confirm identities.
According to an affidavit filed with the Superior Court, Cadiz was angry after accusing the mom and daughter of stealing money from him.
The Somerset County Prosecutor's Office is handling the investigation.
