EMS transported a man to the hospital suffering non-fatal injuries after being stabbed in a domestic incident in Newark this afternoon.
It happened inside a home around noon in the 100 block of South 11th Street.
Police received a call reporting a stabbing and when officers arrived at the scene, they learned that during a dispute between a woman and a man, the son began to stab the man who is reportedly his father.
EMS transported the man to Unversity Hospital for treatment then took the son into custody.
Initial social media reports of a child stabbed inside the residence were unfounded.
The motive for the incident remains under investigation.
UPDATE: No charges filed against the son.
