A threat made on a social media site had police and school officials lock down The Union Avenue Middle School earlier today.
Police were contacted by school officials after the threat was located on the site causing police to do a precautionary check of the building.
School officials said the lockdown was lifted once police deemed the school building safe but the investigation remains active and ongoing.
