Residents are waking up to a light snowfall and a chilly start to the weekend, with temperatures at 29 degrees.

Snow accumulation will vary across the region, with some areas receiving about an inch while others see little to nothing.

According to the National Weather Service, today's forecast predicts light snow, mainly before 8 a.m., followed by clearing skies and a high near 36 degrees.

Tonight will be mostly clear with a low of around 28 degrees and wind chill values between 20 and 25.

Stay safe and enjoy the weekend, North Jersey!
