Officials from the U.S. Geological Survey confirmed a weak 1.6-magnitude earthquake was measured in Butler in Morris County Thursday night.
Officials said the 1.6 magnitude earthquake was measured 1 km from Butler at around 9 p.m. and is the second earthquake to hit Northern NJ in the past 60 days.
The Butler Police Department said it was contacted with over 1,000 calls.
