Six-Month-Old Infant Left Alone in Parked Vehicle  in East Hanover Dies

Morris County officials are currently investigating the tragic death of a six-month-old infant in East Hanover. AdAccording to Prosecutor Robert Carroll, on July 17 at approximately 1:30 p.m., officers from the East Hanover Police Department responded to a 911 call about a pediatric patient in a parked vehicle near South Ridgedale Avenue and Route 10.

Paramedics arrived on the scene and attempted lifesaving measures on the six-month-old female infant, who was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The infant’s mother was also transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Preliminary information suggests that the child was left unattended in the vehicle before her death.AdHowever, the final determination of the cause and manner of death is still pending.

As the investigation is ongoing, no further comments have been made.

The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit, East Hanover Police Department, and Morris County Sheriff’s Office are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.
