Six people were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash in Newark late Thursday night, according to information released by the Newark Police Department.
The incident occurred around 11:15 p.m. on March 27, at the intersection of South Orange Avenue and South 11th Street.

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda reported that officers responded to the scene after receiving a call about a serious collision involving three vehicles.
Authorities say the crash began when a vehicle traveling eastbound on South Orange Avenue struck another car waiting at the intersection.
The force of the impact caused the second vehicle to hit a third car before crashing into a closed business located in the 300 block of South Orange Avenue.
Emergency responders transported all three drivers, along with three passengers, to University Hospital for treatment. Fortunately, all six individuals are currently listed in stable condition.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation as authorities work to determine what led to the collision.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Newark Police Department.
