Newark Police are investigating a shots fired incident that occurred in a community in the city on Saturday night.
According to reports, a ShotsSpotter activation alerted police of gunfire that erupted in the vicinity of 691 South 11th Street just before 11:30 p.m.
Units arriving at the scene taped off the area after locating evidence that a shooting had occurred, but after canvassing the neighborhood, officers did not find any injured victims.
Police also received reports of shots fired that rang out in the 300 block of Avon Avenue, but a search of the area did not reveal any injured victims.
Both incidents remain under investigation.
