Paterson Police were quickly alerted to a shooting Friday night thanks to the city's ShotSpotter technology.
The incident occurred around 9:10 p.m. near 237 17th Avenue, where responding officers discovered a vehicle that had been struck by bullets.
Despite a thorough search of the area, no injuries were reported.
The suspect involved in the shooting fled the scene and remains at large.
