Police in Newark's Wes ward are investigating a shot-fired incident that occurred in that section of the city Thursday night.
According to police, a ShotSpotter device activated in the 50's block of Norwood Street at approximately 10:30 p.m.
Units arrived at the scene and notified hospitals in the region to be on the lookout for potential walk-in victims after officers found evidence that a shooting occurred.
Police searched the area but did not locate any victims, according to officials.
The suspect who fired the weapon remains at-large.
