Paterson Police are investigating a shots-fired incident that occurred in one of the city’s neighborhoods Monday morning.
According to police, at approximately 12:50 a.m., shooters fired nearly three dozen rounds of bullets -at unknown targets- in 30's block of 17th Avenue.
Several units arrived at the scene found two different shell casing types, which prompted them to believe that there was an exchange of gunfire at that location. A total of 30 shell casings were found.
After searching the neighborhood, police say there were no injuries reported.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
