Shots Fired Reports Leads to Arrest of Roselle Park Man

Police took a 43-year-old Roselle Park man into custody after he allegedly entered a business and fired several shots from a gun authorities said.

According to police, on May 2, officers responded to the 100 block of Chestnut Street on a report of a suspicious male who entered a local business brandishing a handgun shortly after 5 p.m.

The suspect, last seen wearing a tank top, grey pants, baseball type hat and in possession of a black backpack, fired approximately six shots police said.

Responding officers located an individual fitting the description provided by the caller on Chestnut Street and East Grant Avenue.

Police identified the suspect as Ronald F. Perry Jr., 43, of Roselle Park, when the 29-year-old victim pointed him out to police.

Police found Perry Jr., in possession possession of a small revolver (cap gun) with approximately six spent cap cartridges loaded inside it.

Police arrested Perry and charged him with possession of an imitation handgun and disorderly conduct.

Perry also had a warrants out of Roselle Park Municipal Court with a bail totaling $4,000.00.

Police issued Perry a summons and officers transported him to the Union County Jail on the Outstanding Warrants.
