Police in The Village of South Orange are looking into the motive behind a shot fired incident that occurred behind a business during the overnight hours.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the Bank of America on Valley Street shortly;y before 11:30 p.m.
Units from several police departments assisted South Orange when officers arrived at the scene and found a large crowd according to reports.
Police secured the area then began a search where they located several shell casings and other evidence at that location.
A further search by officers indicated no injuries according to reports.
Millburn, Maplewood and The Essex County Sheriff's Office assisted in the investigation.
The shooter remains at-large according to preliminary reports.
