There non-life threatening injuries reported for a male who was grazed by a bullet at a location in Newark's South Ward on Monday evening.
According to police, gunfire rang out in the vicinity of Chadwick Avenue and West Runyon Street at approximately 9:10 p.m.
Police say a male victim who arrived at the 17th Avenue precinct suffering a superficial wound told officers that suspects fired shots that struck his car at the South Ward location.
Officers found the victim's car outside of the precinct with bullet holes according to police.
Several police officers then arrived at the Chadwick Avenue location where they found shell casings according to police.
The motive for the attack is under investigation.
