There were no injuries reported in a shots fired incident that occurred at a location in New Brunswick overnight.
According to preliminary reports, police were notified of shots fired that rang out in the area of Remsen Avenue and George Street before 11:50 p.m.
Units arrived at the scene and found evidence that a shooting occurred, but after they searched the area, there were no victims located.
Police officers marked off about six shell casings as they canvassed the neighborhood for victims.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
