Middlesex County authorities announced that police are investigating a shooting that took place earlier Saturday.
According to a statement released by police, the incident happened at approximately 4:14 pm, where Edison Police responded to JFK Medical Center in reference to a victim who was dropped off with multiple gunshot wounds.
Officials said the victim was then transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick and is currently listed in critical condition.
Police are looking into the location where the shooting happened but have not released further information at the time.
The investigation is active and is continuing.
