The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred late Thursday night in Trenton.
Around 11:30 p.m. on July 4, 2024, Trenton police were dispatched to the 800 block of Stuyvesant Avenue following reports of an active shooting.
Upon arrival, officers found an adult male, identified as Mr. Amir Williams, 32, of Trenton, lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso.
Williams was rushed to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after.
During the investigation, authorities learned of a second victim, an adult female, who had arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound to her right hip.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
