Police in Paterson reported no injuries in a shots-fired incident early Thursday morning.
At approximately 4 a.m., police were dispatched to the vicinity of 15 mary Street to investigate reports of shots fired.
Officers arrived and found shell casings, but after searching the neighborhood, no victims were located.
A shooter fired two rounds at unknown targets before fleeing the scene.
Paterson Police will handle the investigation.
