Trenton police are investigating an early afternoon shooting that sent a man to the hospital suffering critical injuries.
Reports of shots fired sent police to the 300 block of Hewitt Street at around 1 p.m. where officers arrived to find the victim shot multiple times according to reports.
Police setup a crime scene in the area while EMS transported the victim to Capital Regional Medical Center.
Police are investigating a motive for the shooting.
There were no arrests immediately reported.
