A late night shooting in Irvington has authorities investigating a fatality.
Authorities responded to the 900 block of Grove Street on reports of shots fired shortly before 10:30 p.m.
Upon arrival to the scene, police found the victim unconscious and unresponsive suffering an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to the hospital where a pronouncement of death was made.
The incident is under investigation by The Essex County Prosecutor's Office.
