Police in Jersey City believe robbery is the motive behind a shots-fired incident that connected and injured on a person at a gas station in the city on Friday morning.
According to preliminary reports, the incident happened at approximately 1:30 a.m. at the Exxon Gas station located at Duncan and West Side avenues.
Police say between 3-4 masked black males arrived at the business and announced a robbery before firing a shot at the victim.
The unidentified injured person was transported to Jersey City Medical Center, suffering a non-fatal bullet wound in the leg.
Police say the suspects sprinted from the scene westbound on Duncan Avenue and remain at-large.
