Police in Paterson are investigating a motive behind a shooting that injured a male Friday night.
Several rounds of gunfire reported by residents near 758 Main Street, sent police to investigate around 9 p.m.
Upon arrival, police found the victim suffering a bullet wound in his face at that location.
Police say the injured was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment and is in serious condition.
The shooter fled the scene and is at large.
No other injuries were reported.
