An investigation is underway in Morris County following a shooting incident that occurred on Wednesday night at the Circle Motel in Roxbury Township.
A preliminary investigation revealed that at around 8:50 p.m., Roxbury Police responded to reports of gunfire at the motel. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound to his leg.
The injured individual was found bleeding heavily, prompting medical personnel to swiftly apply a tourniquet to control the bleeding.
He was then rushed to Morristown Medical Center for treatment.
Preliminary information suggests that the shooting involved a thin white female and a black male reportedly armed with a rifle. Following the incident, both suspects fled the scene.
As of now, authorities have not determined the motive behind the shooting, and the investigation remains active.
