Elizabeth Police are investigating a shooting incident that left one person injured in the city during the overnight hours.
The shooting was reported to police at around 12:30 a.m. in the vicinity of Fulton and Second streets where officers responded to reports of shots fired.
Upon their arrival to the scene, police requested EMS to the scene after they found an unidentified person suffering a gunshot wound.
EMS transported the victim to an area hospital where doctors began to treat serious injuries according to reports.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation, and the suspect is at-large.
