A man suffering a gunshot injury in an East Orange neighborhood is under investigation.
Police responded to reports of shots fired that erupted in the area of Springdale Avenue and Ellington Street at around midnight where officers found evidence that a shooting had occurred.
The victim was reportedly transported to University Hospital in Newark in a private vehicle suffering a non-fatal gunshot wound to the leg.
The motive for the shooting is unclear, and there have been no arrests reported.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
