The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office is currently investigating a shooting incident in Paterson that resulted in minor injuries to an individual Thursday night.
Responding to reports of gunfire, police were dispatched to the vicinity of 88 North 4th Street at approximately 9:35 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers discovered shell casings and a victim who had suffered a graze injury.
Fortunately, the injury was minor, and the victim is expected to make a full recovery.
However, the situation remains tense as the gunman responsible for the shooting managed to flee the scene and has yet to be apprehended.
Authorities are actively seeking the suspect and are delving into the motives behind the shooting, which remains unclear at this time.
The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office and Paterson Police are urging anyone with information to come forward to aid in the ongoing investigation and help bring the perpetrator to justice.
