Police recovered shell casings at the scene of a shots-fired incident in Newark's South Ward Sunday morning.
Gunfire rang out in the 100 block of Brunswick Street around 6:20 a.m.
Units arrived at the scene and found shell casings, but no victims were located during their search of the area.
The suspect left the scene, and authorities reported no arrests.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
