Passaic County officials announce that at approximately 10:29 p.m. on June 20, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Park Avenue and Pennington Street in Paterson on a report of shots fired.
According to police, upon arrival members of the Paterson Police Department located evidence of a crime scene in the area of 17th Avenue and Pennington Street, but were unable to locate a victim.
Police said that a short time later, members of the Paterson Police Department were advised that a 26-year-old male Paterson resident arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, via private vehicle seeking treatment for non-fatal gunshot wounds.
Based upon the initial investigation, it was determined that the victim was shot in the area of 17th Avenue and Pennington Street.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
