Authorities are looking for a gunman that fired shots in Newark's West Ward Sunday morning.
A ShotSpotter device activated in the area of 59 Pine Grove Terrace and alerted officers of a shooting just before 1:20 a.m.
When police arrived, they found shell casings, but after searching the neighborhood around Vailsburg Park, no victims were located.
The suspect fled the scene and remained at large.
Police have not reported a motive for the shooting at this time.
